Bridget Regan is an American actress who is currently starring in the Legend of the Seeker, a TV adaptation of the Sword of Truth book series authored by Terry Goodkind.
Bridget was born on February 3, 1982 and raised in Carlsbad, California. Bridget enjoyed theater and dancing as a youth and landed a role in Sweet Bird of Youth at the La Jolla Playhouse in 1999 and in The Scottish Play in 2005.
Upon completion of High School, Bridget trekked cross country to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts (NCSA), now University of North Carolina School of Arts (UNCSA).
Bridget promptly made her way to New York City after graduating from UNCSA and began finding work in Broadway, TV and Movie productions. Bridget's most notable credits include appearances in Six Degrees, New Amsterdam, Love Monkey, Blinders, The Babysitters and Sex and the City: The Movie along with reoccurring roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent and The Black Donnellys. Bridget also landed roles in several TV series, The Wedding Album and Supreme Courtships, that never aired.
In December of 2007, Bridget made her Broadway debut in Is He Dead?, an adaptation of a play by Mark Twain. The show received favorable reviews and played until March, 2008 after 105 performances.
In early 2008, Bridget signed on to play Kahlan Amnell in the Legend of the Seeker television series based on the Sword of Truth books by Terry Goodkind. The series premiered on November 1, 2008 and is syndicated by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
In October and November 2008, Bridget was interviewed on The View, G4TV and Jimmy Kimmel Live! as part of the promotional tour for the premier of Legend of the Seeker.
Bridget currently resides in New Zealand where Legend of the Seeker is being filmed.
